Bert Reid, PT, DPT, FAFS Fellowship

Bert received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital ('08), his Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island and his undergraduate degree from Tulane University, where he was Academic All-American. He also completed a year-long Advanced Fellowship in Kinetic Chain Biomechanics for PT rehab and Sports Performance in 2009. Bert was a recipient of the prestigious University of Rhode Island Distinguished Achievement Award in 2016. Dedicated to local athletes and his community, Bert has also been inducted into both the Providence Gridiron and R.I. High School Football Coach’s Hall of Fame.

Bert has advanced training in several areas including:

1. Certifications in golf fitness (NikeGolf NG360 Fitness Certified, Gray’s Institute Functional Golf Certified and a Titleist Performance Institute)

2. Baseball science and Rehab via the ASMI.org seminars and the PBATS programs

3. Running science and rehab with a concentration in foot/ankle related to kinetic chain biomechanics and treatment.

Bert works with evryone from community members to elite athletes including Olympic medalists, collegiate runners, pro golfers, tennis players and pro sailors (see our Wall of Fame). He also specializes in working with college and HS baseball pitchers and catchers as well as the NECBL Ocean State Waves players. He is certified in Advanced Orthotics Fabrication and trained in digital running analysis. He has a certification as a She Guru by the RIA.

During his free time, Bert enjoys running, golfing and spending time with his wife, Krista, and their two kids, James and Julia.
